On March 28th, 2024, filmmakers Andres "Jay" Molina and Alexis Neophytides presented their film Fire Through Dry Grass in an online seminar, revealing the hidden impact of Covid-19 on Jay, his friends, and residents of Coler Nursing Home. The documentary, made using GoPro cameras and Zoom, exposes the covert transfer of Covid patients to the home and has fueled the Nursing Home Lives Matter movement to advocate for better long-term care policies.
