A virtual Augmented Reality (AR) workshop - to learn how you can, in a low budget way, create an Augmented Reality experience using your phone and laptop. This workshop, part 2 of the workshop held in the fall, was led by Betty Yu, a socially engaged multimedia artist, photographer, filmmaker, educator, and activist. In Part 2, while we cover 360 again, we also go on to AR with printed matter and locations.

"An Act of Worship" is a polyphonic portrait of the last 30 years of Muslim life in America, told through the lens of Muslims living in the United States. This is the conversation that followed the film screening, with the film's editor Ben Garchar and activist Nadine Kawas whose family appeared in the film.

Doc Production Essentials: the Proposal - with Carol Bash. Carol Bash is an award winning filmmaker, producer and the Program Coordinator at Black Public Media (blackpublicmedia.org/). She goes through the BPM application which is based on the common core application that many funders use, and talks about what filmmakers should be asking themselves in order to come up with winning proposals.

A talk with the directors, producers and activists about the film and the case of Chol Soo Lee, a Korean immigrant wrongly imprisoned for murder in San Francisco in 1973. This case became a nationwide issue, as different Asian groups for the first time joined together in the fight for justice for Chol Soo Lee.

OUTTA THE MUCK looks at Ira's family in Pahokee, Florida - a historic town known for its legendary football players - with over 60 drafted into the NFL, yet also stereotyped for its economic pressures and difficult living.

Producer/Director of the film The Five Demands, Professor Andrea Weiss speaks with Dr. Jervette Ward, Director of the CCNY Black Studies Department and James Small, scholar/activist, and a leader in the action described in the film THE FIVE DEMANDS about the 1969 takeover of City College of NY. This action led to City College becoming one of the most diverse campuses in the country and starting one of the early Black Studies programs.
